Fostoria Mayflower Etch No. 322 Salt & Pepper Shakers; Sterling Tops 1939-1955
Here's a nice little salt and pepper shaker set which was produced by the Fostoria Glass Company of Moundsville, West Virginia. The etched decoration on these is Fostoria's Plate Etching No. 322, called "Mayflower"; it was introduced in 1938 and discontinued in 1955. The little wavy lines near the shoulder of the shakers are indicative that they are from Fostoria's No. 2560 line, called the "Coronet Pattern", which was also introduced in 1938, and continued in production (as a blank and with other etches and cuttings besides Mayflower) until 1960.

These shakers are just under 3-1/2" tall with the lids on, and are about 2" wide at the shoulder (the foot's about 1-1/4" in diameter). Sterling tops.
